How do I print on HP-UX
I recently came into my office this past Thursday morning to find two support e-mails asking very similar questions. How do I get output to print on a Unix device using Suprtools list command. While I certainly knew the answers in terms of Suprtool I had forgotten many of the other commands to figure out what printers I had available and some of the parameters to the lp command.
But let's backup and discuss the functionality that MPE and the Suprtool list command could provide thru file equations as this is the main question that users ask, which is How do I get the output from the list command to either a file or a device.

Difference in Months, between two dates!
Recently a customer called to ask if Suprtool could calculate the difference between two dates, in months:
The key to the problem is this:
ext mmdiff=(($truncate(matdate / 100) * 12) + matdate mod 100) - &
(($truncate(todaydt / 100) * 12) + todaydt mod 100)

Canada Day Closing, eh!
Hey all you hosers, it's like, Canada Day, eh! The Robelle Admin and R & D offices will be closed because the staff will be consuming brown pops and back bacon on Wednesday July 1, 2009. Technical Support will be available on that day. Contrary to popular belief, Canada Day is NOT called Bob and Doug MacKenzie day.
All of Robelle, Support and Admin will be closed Friday July 3rd, 2009 for the July 4th holiday weekend.

Suprtool 5.2 Released
Suprtool version 5.2 is now available as the current production download.
Suprtool 5.2 MPE
- STExport has a new feature to handle bad Zoned data. See Set ZonedFix On.
- Various bugs in byte addressing and memory management have been uncovered
and addressed.
- The $edit function now supports the colon as a delimeter character for
time edit masks.
- Suprtools if command would not recognize a field starting with SPECIAL if
it was on the right side of the equation.
Suprtool 5.2 HP-UX
- STExport has a new feature to handle bad Zoned data.

- Suprtool is now available is now native Itanium, in all flavours.
Suprtool for HP-UX, Suprtool with dynamic loading and Suprtool for AMXW.
- Suprtool now has Set Oracle PassShift On (default) or Off to turn off the
upshift of a password. This is to accomodate Oracle 11 which will allow
for case-sensitive passwords.
- The Add command in Suprtool for HP-UX would cause a subsequent task to
fail in some cases.
- The Add command in Suprtool for HP-UX would fail if the target was a
small record.
